Alrighty fellows has anyone ever attempted a 351W EFI swap to a 4x4 78-79 F150??? because i've seen it on a couple broncos and i saw it today on a jeep, so i was just wondering if this has ever been attempted at because i need a new project and i gotta get rid of so windsor parts . Any knwledge is welcomed.

Check with the engine swap forum. The OEM electronics and interfacing them with the vehicle is the difficult part.

shouldn't be that hard, the efi will just be another stand alone harness with the computer. you can either get a factory harness and wiring diagram and figure out what you do/do not need or get an aftermarket stand alone harness. go to www.fordfuelinjection.com and read up on the different topics, they also sell a very nice harness. also ford performance sells a harness also, and there is always harness's from mustang's on ebay, i just got a harness/computer for a 5.0 for $37 delivered. BTW i'm swapping a 93 f-150 drivetrain into a 79 supercab, haven't started yet but i have all the stuff, will write up an article when i'm working on it.

Good stuff to know Davefj40. I'm gonna drop the engine (351w with multiport EFI) and transmission (w/overdrive, E4OD I believe) out of a 91 E150 into my 78 F100. I got the whole van so if I need anything the parts are still on the donor.
