292 in a 61 or 62 F250

I've just gotten a early F250 in the yard It has a running 292 in it.
About what are these motors going for on the market?
Or are they even popular? And last question any difference between a truck motor vs. a car motor?
thanks!

it depends on where your at as far as price goes.maybe around 200.most trucks had low comp,heads.60 to 64 engines had small valves in both car and truck so these heads arent in demand.

Truck motors are mounted differently than in cars also. Trucks have a bellhousing that has side mounts and the block has front mount on the timing cover. Exhaust is different on the trucks too with a front cross over pipe.

I bought a complete running 62 F250 for $100. Body was beyond saving but it had a 59 312 which is what I was after. Be sure of the engine by verifying the block casting ID at: http://www.ford-y-block.com/Block%20identification.htm
