Can I use the front tank of my 87 6.9 idi for svo? Greasel has a kit, but Plant Drive doesn't seem to offer this option.

You could use it sure. Depending on what part of the country your in you may have to add a heated pickup. Our Hotfox would fit the bill. Fits a 2 inch opening. If you are in some part of the country that never sees temps below 50 you could live without the heated pickup.

Do more research before you buy anything. Charle's kits in our opinion need more heat to safely run WVO.

I live in Northern California and spend a lot of time camping overnight in the snow. The Hotfox sounds like the way to go. I assume I'll have to pull the tank to install it? Will the selector valve replace the stock F/R selector switch or be wired to it? Don't you also have a low amp draw overnight heater? Where does that install?

Good point you would not even need the Selector valve. Not sure we sell a kit without the valve. I'd have to ask Craig. You you could just take it as a spare.

We do have what's called our Overnighter(tm). It works with the Vormax. Since I got that my switch over times have been much shorter through the last few weeks of Feb and all through March. At 21F my filter was 47F nice and warm for the oil to flow.

As for dropping the tank yes that would be the easiest way.
