$2.59gallon@11mpg time to go

I just bought the 2000 Lariat 4x4 OffRoad back in October. The cost of gas is getting outrageous...and at a piddly 11mpg I'm quickly going broke. Starting to wish I hadn't gotten rid of the Ranger.
I'm only averaging 230-250 miles per tank. I'm almost at the 100k mark, but I can't imagine a tune up helping that much.

Anyone in the market for a truck? lol

I agree with a dirty air filter and also doing a tune up. I was only getting about 210 miles out of tank of gas. I recently cleaned my K&N and noticed a big improvement in milage. Last time I filled up I was getting about 15-16 all around driving. I got 270 miles out of the tank. Gas here by me is $2.69 a gallon and it really sucks driving a truck.

Does'nt matter how you drive up here, @ 108.9 a liter (multiply that by 4 for gallons) you tend to ration as much as possible. $50 doesn't even get me a 1/2 tank anymore.

I just put $25 in my tank (mid-grade @ $2.59) and it took me from 1/8 to 1/2 tank.

Yesterday, it was $2.45 too!

16 mpg

I have a 97 F150 4.6l that gets 16 mpgs, city or highway, doesn't seem to make a difference. My 00 Expy with the 5.4l gets 14 around town and 16-17 on the highway.

I just filled the 68 CS, she holds 56.8 gallons with 3 tanks, took 54.0 gallons at 2.79-9 for mid grade or $151.15 smackers. Yup around town stop and go cold starts with 2 1/2 to 7 mile trips down to 7.5 mpg. I can squeeze 14.1 if i behave on the highway. This is the price of fuel in the S.F. bay area.
They practically give it away, drive in Europe where their price per/litre matches our price per/gallon.
.....=o&o>.....

I get 15 in the city with my 5.4. Its always gotten around 14 or better since I added electric fans. I did lose some mileage before I changed the O2 sensers but it came back after I replaced them
