That sounds about right to me...but really our trucks arent running high enough HP or Torque and compression to have to worry about sucking in alot more air and exhausting it out. Stock intake works great...as stated before, I would go personally with dual exhaust just for the looks and sound, you wont notice any big gains from it at all. Overall Gears would be my first choice...then a programmer/tuner next...exhaust for looks, and wouldnt waste money on anything else!

RobbyMartin...Thanks for the reply stated before, I was looking for your numbers on your average mileage! Do you calculate it regularly, if so, I was curious on your actual numbers...thanks bud!

You said it stang302, exhaust is for looks and sound nothing else, people don't realize these v8's come with 2.5 inch exhaust which is ample for flow, if you reallly what a good sounding exhaust for cheap simply remove the muffler and put a hunk of pipe in it's place. The 4 cats on these trucks do a good job in sound reduction and it will sound pretty good whithout being too .

10-4 Xtrford...haha! It cracks me up when people get sucked into all this "hype" as I like to call it. At least on this thread, MdJohson has had some good advice from everyone who has replied to his question! And just as you stated about the exhaust...nothing a good ole piece of pipe or flex tube or whatever cant take care of. A bunch of my buddies have chopped the mufflers and welded in a cut out of pipe...and there you go, better flowing exhaust and sounds good...for cheap!!!

How does the exhaust sound if you just replace the stock muffler with pipe on a 4.6? I know on my 94 it sounded good.

shouldn't sound to bad....i know a few people that have done that.....i'm planning on getting MIL eliminators and doing dual exhaust with 2 cats, but i'm going to have my cats flanged so i can un-bolt them and put in a peice of pipe then when inspection time comes around put the cats back in......a few of my buddies did that on their trucks and they sound BAD A$$ like that obviously because no cats and a borla muffler=LOUD....flowmasters make these trucks sound like they are under water.....or kinda like a camaro....haha, anyway thats my idea but it also costs money
