Question Creaking noise

My 92 F 150 super recently started a loud creaking noise when I turn or sometimes brake. It come from under the cab somewhere and I can't duplicate it in the driveway to find it. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Check all of your cab supports, tranny mount, engine mounts, and look at your leaf springs. If there are no little plastic pads between the ends you will need to fix that. Take a large screwdriver, pry the ends of the leaves apart far enough to stick a piece of plastic that is as wide as the spring and 3" long doubled over (so it looks like a C). The easiest plastic to use is the old oil containers from your last oil change. This solved a funny pop/squeek I had.

Thanks for the info. I sort of suspected the springs but did not know how to cure it. Great idea. I don't have much time during the week but I will check all of it this weekend
