SolidWorks Bronco

I was thinking of something more detailed than a basic shape. I know I could crank something out easily in an afternoon to replicate the overall body, but having a frame and suspension would definately be ideal.
Does anyone know what CAD package ford uses/has used in the past to model their cars? I just think it would be interesting to see some of those files. Ofcoarse I realize that Ford would never release them; but still, the level of detail must be impressive.

i havent the slightest idea...id like to get hold of the program ferarri uses...its a 10000$ program. u could get that detaild. just take measurments, draw seperatly then peice together. thats how ford does it, but they also spend alot of money and there is prolly a team of 40 or more workin on it. ive drawn stuff like a 351w.. not to hard just s few hours and a set digital calipers.

Looks like I know what I'll be doing over spring break then...if anybody out there would be interested in a copy, let me know. I think I'll just create a rough outline of the body and reference critical areas. Who knows, maybe in a few years I'll even have the whole thing done... that would be a good way to find all the nooks and craneys of the old Bronco.
Hmm... now if I could just get paid for doing such things...

dude..i tought myself solidworks...im 19. should only take u a few days to make a very complex model lol..but when u get done with the rough.. i can help ya out, lemme get a copy and i'll taker apart and put all the complex stuff in if u want. course if u just did the body.(in detail) i could do the drive train ina hour or 2. that model would be great for spec'in after market parts like superchargers and turbos.. to lifts and exaust, and fabin ur own suspension, since u can use cosmo to check stresses

Funny, I'm also 19 and have also taught myself SolidWorks. Actually, after I started using the program for modeling a go-kart, I took a class based on the program. What version of SW do you have? I've got 2005 and I know 2004 won't read 2005 files. I don't have any time soon to put into any new projects, but maybe later we could tag team this and create something cool for other folks on this forum.
