2005 Mountaineer / No start

I have a 05' V-6 AWD Mountaineer. It only has 22000miles and decided to NOT start today. I have a good battery, all good fuses, and have checked to see if it was in Park, brake applied, and seat belts on. Nothing works. Does this car have some quirky fix like most cars or is this a sign of a bad part(starter).

PS. the starter makes no click noise when attempting to start it

Probably corroded terminals at the battery end or the other end, or non-clean battery terminals. The cables should be alright at this young age.

I wish it was that easy! This car looks like it has ZERO miles on it, under the hood and all over.

so I take it all the dash lights come on but nothing happens when you turn the key. I have been told a quick way to check battery is to try the wipers and see how they work if they are slower than normal the battery is needing attention. stupid thought any anti theft device you dont know about??

good luck

Call dealer and tell them to come and get it. Free towing is part of that warranty.

fixed

I did have it towed to the dealer(on there dime of course). As I was typing this reply my wife called and said the dealership called and said it was a module that recognizes the car key. Of course they have to order the part.

Thank you all for your help!
