especially consdiering that the fuel is injected into the cylinder, not the intake, it won't do a thing for you. It doesn't actually do squat for the gassers either, any more than the magnet around the fuel line helps with atomization....
Thanks for the replies. I was at the local NAPA the other day and the parts guy was claiming some people's gassers were gaining 3-5 mpg. I found that hard to believe. Also asked him if anybody with diesels were trying it and he didn't have a clue. A turbo is in my future plans anyhow. Just throwin this out there.
[QUOTE=cookie88]Well now you're just talking crazy.....I strapped about 9 magnets to the carb on my old Bronco and now it gets 42 miles per gallon and 490 horsepower.
You can do a Google on that Tornado thing and find a place somewhere (I forget) where they dyno-ed it before and after. It robs you of torque and hp where you need it the most. It's a scam.
The friendly engineers at ford already designed a lever that manually controls how fast air can travel through the intake tube. You can find it by looking right next to the brake pedal. Next time your engines running have a buddy push up and down on the lever while you hold your hand over the intake. You can feel the difference in air movement!
