'98 F-150 not blowing air through vents

Hello everybody. I need some help. I just replaced the heater core in my F-150 and I got everyting put back together. Everything works great except there is no air blowing through the vents. All the air is blowing through the windshield defrost and I can also feel air coming through the floor vents. Can anyone tell me what I did wrong or if I forgot to do anything before I put the dash back together. thanks, Ovi

thanks for the reply mat-helm. I don't remeber taking apart any vacume lines. Do you have any idea where the vacume hose might be located? thanks.

That's just the first thing that comes to mind when the air ducts will only blow defrost/floor because thats what happens when vac is removed, it's their default position. It could be that you directional flap may be jamed. Sorry to say that you may have to tear back into it and recheck everything, but I still thing the vac is going to be your problem, because there is a vacume motor in there with a vac line running to it. Hopfuly by keeping this thread at the top of the list some one with more exsperence on the heater core will chime in.

the three ***** on the heater control. i think it is the right side that selects teh floor- defrost, vent? that switch has a vacuum line from the motor to it, and two or three other vacuum hoses off of it that go to the different doors to move and direct air. if you have no vacuum or something fails, i believe the default is air to the defroster. i would check the swithc area first since you had it appart. the supply vacuum line goes thru the firewall behind the battery and points at the glove box area. 1 hose.
