purple hornies........
I have a pair of them on my truck. It has a 390 in it and they sound good. There quiet like at idle but really cackle when you get on it. Mine are 30 inchers. keep in mind the shorter the louder the longer the deeper. I live in Kansas and talked to a cop buddy and he said we can't get a ticket as longer as there is a muffler on the truck. He said I could straight pipe it as longer as I put a muffler on top off the pipe. It could be just wired on there.

purple hornies........
You all make me laugh.... I guess because I pull a horse trailer I can't have a loud truck (don't want to scare horses). I hate loud trucks!
If you want a loud truck but don't want a glasspack that will wear out run these mufflers - they are all welded and provide very little backpressure. They are WAY better than any glass pack on the market.

Dont know how i missed this thread but...
Purple Hornies sound great, especially as turn downs right off the headers, they are made my FloTech and can be purchased at www.Jegs.com trust me, they are well worth the money. If I could do it all over again thats the way i would go.
