AC Compressor Clutch Help? #2
* I think i might have posted this in the wrong place before, so here is try number 2 *

I am in the middle of changing the ac clutch on this truck. The bearing gave out and I just had the system charged and checked, so I didn't want to swap the entire compressor/clutch...so here I am in the middle of another mess.
I have removed the front plate and pulley, I am left with the piece with the electrical connection fixed to it. I can't seem to get this piece removed. It is either pressed on or there is a snap ring I can't find. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the directions are far from easy to discern and the hayes manual doesn't even discuss it.
Also, in case I wasn't able to make it through this installation in time, I bought the no/ac belt, I shouldn't have any problems with this as long as the pulley isn't on the compressor?
Thanks In Advance

The compressor that my '83 uses has a snap ring that you can barely see holding the coil in place. When you get it off, clean clean clean everything before you reassemble it. BE SURE that the snap rings go back into their slots completely, or you will be doing this job again.
I had to replace my clutch because the previous owner had already replaced it, and didnt use the right snap rings. It fell apart, and the spinning clutch ate the nose piece off the compressor. Ruined the clutch, bearing, coil, and the compressor, as I couldn't just remove and replace it. Found a compressor on an '84 Lincoln, and put my new clutch assembly on it. Seeing it on the truck, you'd never know it had ever been anywhere else.
