1985 F250 4X4 with leafs springs and IFS.

I thought all the 1980-96 F250 had coils springs on thier trucks. I have a lifted F250. 460 with 4 speed. It has leaf springs. Was there an option for leaf or coil? Just wondering. I would like to lower the front end and get a better ride. It rides like a tank.

my 4x4 has 4 wheel leaf springs. is it normal for the front springs to be flat or upside down arch?

Again just from what Ive seen I think if they have negitive arch then they are starting to sag. Stock front springs are usually flat whereas aftermarket lifted springs will have positive arch.
Edit: Has there ever been a plow on the truck and does the frontend seem to be lower than normal or uneven. I have a friend who owns a chevy that had a plow on for a long time and the front springs looked like someone took rear springs and flipped them upside down to put on the front ( they were sagged a lot).

All the 2wd trucks and 4wd F100-F150's had coils on the front. All the 4wd F250-F350's had leaf springs on the front. The negative arch of the front leaf springs is normal, I know it looks weird, but thats the way they have always been. If the springs were sagging, due to the IFS it would be very difficult if not impossible to align.
