ok i see it, now i bought what was suppose to be a "performance Chip" on ebay which basically consists of a wire about 6 inches long. the instructions say to cut one of the wires to the IAT Sensor and splice in this wire I bought. have you heard of this before and is it going to hurt my truck.

yeah I figured it was a bunch of crap when I got it. I should have asked around before I bought it but hey i guess I should have known when it was only 10 bucks. I really appreciate you help here and I enjoy learning about my truck and how things work. Oh, I did notice in your gallery you had cold air intake on your truck. Like mine you have the two hoses comming off the air box. Did you buy that "Y" peice or did you make it? I was wanting to do that to mine but the after market kits are very expensive for our trucks with 5.0. Thanks Ryan

I bought it when I was running mass air since it needs a single intake tube. I searched in all the area junkyards, but no one seemed to salvage that type of thing for some reason. I ended up getting the two hoses, the plastic 'y' and the pcv breather hose as one unit from the dealer for around 70 bucks. Not worth it, really, but my only option since I couldn't find one anywhere else. I guess I could have made one, but I needed it in a timely fashion. I've switched back over to the stock computer and stock intake for the time being, though.

I see, my truck does not have a mass air flow sensor for some reason. I thought that was kinda odd but I guess thats one less thing to have to replace i guess. Do you think an under-drive pulley system would free up that much HP! Ive installed headers for a start, and if you can think of any other mods please let me know.

Up until 94, these trucks were speed density. No MAF. Mine is speed density. Headers are good bang for buck.
On those two tubes that go to the throttle body, I put a cone filter on each tube. I need to re-locate them somewhere where they can get cool air. I have some pics of how it looks in my gallery.
