It is a 4 speed light duty transmission with electronic controls for;
* shifting
* converter clutch control
* line pressure control
The AODE is the second generation of the AOD transmission first interoduced in 1980.
1st gear 2.40 to 1
2nd gear 1.47 to 1
3rd gear 1.00 to 1
4th gear 0.67 to 1
Reverse 2.00 to 1
