Hello, i am new to this forum, let me introduce myself. I am in houston, I hunt, shoot sporting and enjoy the outdoors. This is my first Ford, a F-250 King Ranch with 300 miles on it and a Superchips Tuner from MotorHaven that arrived today.
I advocate supporting sponsors of forums like this, so am looking for a truck bed cover. The retractable kind vs Diamondback. I have searched and found some info on the retractable ones but no real world experience with the Diamonback and would appreciate your opinion on the Diamondback Cover. The ease of use, waterproof etc.

Cannot comment on Diamondback, but I can highly recommend Retrax. Mine is now 4 years old - bought it for my 01 PSD and brought it with me to my 04 KR. Works great!

Is that Retrax bed cover a hard tonneua, or a soft? I have been leaning towards the RollBak retractable hard tonneu cover, but am open to other suggestions. Thanks for the help.

Retrax is a hard retractable cover. You can find them at www.rolltopcover.com

 

I checked out the Retrax, the Rollbak seems to me to be more secure, but my opinion is formed only from looking at them on the web and seeing the Rollbak in a catalog. Also, from what I can find, the Rollbak is a little less expensive and I'm less of a fan of the glossy surface of the Retrax than I am of the flat surface of the Rollbak. These are just the things Im thinking about so far. Thanks for the input.

Look into a "Roll N Lock", I had one on a Z/71 and in my opinion, it's the best one on the market.
