The Tonneau Cover for Me-Diamondback

Thought I would show the forum my latest. I was looking at both soft and hard covers, some that rolled, folded or lifted but none of them gave me the total use I was looking for. Truck caps were out as I can't see very good with them. So I saw the Diamondback at the Harrisburg Outdoor show and said that's for me. I got the HD so I could load up to 1600 lbs on the top of the cover, then went for the LineX surface (tough and it looks good). The price was just a bit more then some of the others but I felt I was getting more (for my use) out this brand. DiamondBack :: Covers as Tough as Your Truck They are easy people to work with. You can see from photos the side steps come in handy with this style of cover. Chris

Some additional photos. Unit was easy to put on plus adjustment was easy also. I have work on getting it totally water proof (that dip in the front of the bed). One neat thing is that the front or rear panels can be folded so you can load a skid of feed or pellets on it, nice. Chris

Thats a cool cover, never had heard of them. I'm not to sure about the little spoiler thing in front. I really like the look of your truck, but some new wheels would really help.

Cab guard in the front allows safe loading and hauling of lumber. Once strapped down nothing should not move. It's an extra. As far as new wheels, I would just mess them up in time. The steels are fine for my use. This is my working play truck so I can't get to fancy. Chris

Oh okay that makes sense, they really thought of everything when they designed it.

nice heavy duty cover for a work truck....try adding some weatherstripping along the top of the front bed rail to cure your water seep problem.

Yeah, I added couple of layers to that top edge-next time it rains or the car (truck) wash I'll find out how it did. Chris

It's pretty easy-Lift panels, disconnect gas struts, slide off then loosen the four clamps middle section, you are done. When you put back on you have to realign. Chris

Very nice looking cover Chris. I have seen them before in the silver/chrome diamond plate - really like the look of yours.

I think it was last year they started the LineX coating. Even with the coating the panels are manageable as far as lifting about 60 lbs each. Chris

If you don't need an HD (holds 1,600 pounds), then the SE cover (holds 400 pounds) can be ordered with LINE-X Xtra. The LINE-X Truck Cover (holds 200 pounds) comes standard with LINE-X Xtra.

I looked at the LineX unit at the Harrisburg Show and it's nice but like you said it's only good to 200 lbs on top. For me one of the features I liked about these covers is the ability to haul on top, giving me additional space plus a surface that will not mar. Now with the Diamondback for couple hundred bucks my ATV will come along with me (as soon as I buy one) more likely I will have one of my mowers on top. Chris
