T18 to BW1356

Will a BW1356 transfer case originally behind an E4OD mate to a T-18/T-19 4speed? I'm wondering if the adapter bolt patterns and output/input splines are the same.

thanks,

-Bob

I've heard, though I've never been able to verify, that all Ford tranny to t-case bolt patterns are the same.

Hmm, I guess that doesn't help much.

Resurrecting a dead post

Im in the middle of a similar swap.
I have a 1993 f150 4x4 5.8/E40D/1356 that I'm wanting to make 4.9/t18/1356.
I have a 1985 f150 2x4 4.9/t18 and was wondering if that transmission would work? I read the input splines are different for auto and manual transmissions into the 1356.
I also have a bronco 5.8/t18/np208. Would that t18 bolt directly to the 1356?

All Ford 4x4 transmissions (auto and manual) used the same 31 spline output shaft ans 6 bolt round mounting pattern.
So, yeah, any of your cases will bolt on any of the transmissions you have.
Any transfer case from 1980-1997 will be interchangeable.

Ill second that answer, yes it will work. Just remember it's only full-size parts that interchange, not ranger or BII
