changing 300-6cylinder to 460

My son & I are trying to install a 460 in a 1986 Ford F150 twin I beam suspension. We had to make 2" plates for motor mounts so the oil filter would fit. Then we installed the transmission, found the transmission mount and shift linkage to be approx 6" off. There is another set of holes where it looks like you could bolt different motor mount brackets. Does anyone know for fact where you could get brackets for these holes or any ideas on how to move engine back?
1st of all we took out a 300/6cyl.The truck is a Ford F150 4wd,133wb. 2nd I can see holes in frame to bolt on mount bracket but what bracket fits thowes holes. A f150 ?did it come with a 460 as a option? we changed oil pan, pump& pick up tube and added 2" plates under motor mounts. we seem to have enough clearance. 3Rd my son & I all ready installed a 3" body lift & a 4" suspension lift with heaver coils. the oil filter screws to the motor was thinking with right mount brackets it will move up to hole in suspension cross mount like e100 (1984-86) We know we'll be changing a lot of parts if it was up to me i put the 6cyl back in it but my son 19 & still chaching dreams. I will help to the end. exhaust will be no trouble.axles maybe the next project,we have 9" rears. 4th yes this task can be done all it will take is time & money I make the time he make the money. I see kids (or dad, mom)spend BIG bucks for cars my son has only about $2000 in it to date. and it's sharp looking.

Where did you mount the 460? The 300 mounts on the cross member on towers, while the V8s mount on frame mounts behind the cross member (about 6 inches further back). These mounts can be purchased new from Ford for about $70 each or from a junkyard for about half that.
