Suspension Lift 4" or 6"

Happy Thanksgiving,

Just bought a 1996 F-150 4x4 for my son that has a lift and a lot of negative camber. Lower ball joints seem fine but I was wondering if any one can identify what brand of lift we have. All the brackets are painted a grayish silver hammered look with no markings. The lowering brackets for the sway bar have the number 01-1020 driver-side and 02-1020 pass side and measure 3 7/8. The factory rear blocks are gone and replaced with tapered down 4" blocks. The installed ride height of the front coils (with wheels on the ground) is approx. 17 inches. The axle beam brackets have two holes which I know are common: upper one for 4" lower for 6". Everything seems to indicate a 4" lift to me but the axle beams are in the lower holes. If I move the beams to the upper holes will it make the negative camber worse /--\ or help some? Are the radius arm lowering brackets the same on 4" and 6" kits? Or is it possible we do have a 6" lift that has problems? Probably cant do it today but will post a link of pictures.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply I also thought that the camber would be more positive when lifting. Anybody know the installed ride height on the coils on a 4" and 6" lift. Has anyone ever used the 4" lift holes on 6" lift coils that are starting to sag? Wish I had the cash to start all over with a good long arm kit but we are trying to get to work for now.

Thanks

You could always try the upper holes and see if that fixes your problem or you can order new 6" lift coil springs. I think they are only around a couple hundred for a set. Do you have a picture of the truck? Might make it easier to guesstimate the lift on it.

If you have negative camber in the lower holes, upper holes will reduce it.
