Hey guys. Remember a while back the questions/pictures of a van with a very strange 4x4 setup? The one with a strange transfer case with two front outputs and a differential attached to each front knuckle? Well, lo and behold, Jim Allen of Off-road Adventures is going to tackle this...he got stumped by a reader about this anomaly.

I remember that too, had never seen anything like it. Sounds like it was very rare...although why they'd put it in a police car is beyond me.

 

I know where there's a mid 80's Econoline with the V-drive.
I should see if I can sneak into the guy's yard and get some pictures

 

Yeah i can't wait to see some specs and what not on that thing as well.
