KC sells probably the best. if you skimp on quality youll pay for it later. something else to think about is putting lights on the top will reduce what you can go under or thru , also at night when they are turned on produce a major glare off the hood making it hard to see. do a search online an see what you can find. also check out jbg

I once saw a bronco with a storage rack mounted on the shell. It had a shovel mounted on one side and an off-road jack mounted on the other. It had lights pointed forward, rearward and on each side. It looked really cool. Only problem I saw with it, is that it would not fit into my garage or inside some parking decks. It probably took a high output alternator to run all the lights.

yes you will need at least a 130amp alt to power 2 - 4 lights. dont know what year your bronco is but a 3g upgrade would be good at this time

I’ve got an 88 5.0 and it looks like it has the original alternator on it. (I got it in 96 I think, and I have not replaced the alternator yet. What is a 3g?

3g is just an all around better alt for our rigs. problem is they werent offered till later years. go to www.fordfuelinjection.com you can buy the harness to make the swap plug and play and there is a list of rigs that you can find the hi amp alts at your local wrecking yards for cheap.

Thanks, I’ll look into it.

Right now I got the “ain’t broke don’t fix” attitude.
