Got a used Brama topper, need to replace some parts...

Anyone know of a good site to buy new handles and struts for a topper? I've searched for Brama toppers on the net, but I can't find anything. I also need to repaint it from the maroon color it is to either grey(match the truck or black. Any help would be great, this is my first topper and I got no idea on these things.

Well, I did some more research and found out that the topper is made of a "thermoplastic". Any ideas on what I will have to do to prep it for painting? Will I need a special type of paint?
I also found a nice online store for replacemant parts, but I may need to have some small angle iron made up to reinforce the corners and I need to get some cauking done on it.

I bought a new Brahma cap-it in 1989 had it for a couple years and it cracked/broke below the side window. Called them (had a limited life time warranty) and they told me they went out of business and someone else had taken over. They wanted $300.00 for a replacement shell, so much for the life time warranty, I told them to keep it.
Their advertising was pretty impressive at the time but I guess they made a poor product and then bailed on all the warranty claims.

I haven't seen any advertising over the years so I can't tell you who took over or if anyone ever did.

I myself bought a used cap that needed a locking t-handle. I bought mine from Lowe's it was a handle from a Wayne-Dalton garage door that cost $4.95. Which looks alot better than the one from local rv store that was about $ 20 minor fitting needed.
