I bought this stink'in thing and my 05 went from 17 mpg to 14 mpg with 93 oct. Has anyone else had this problem. Oh!!! and my trucks powersteering hose blow off and showered the underside of my truck with powersteering fluid. Talk about being pissed, But I love still love the thing. Ford still rules

 

Why did you go to 93 oct? Unless you use a tuner chip, that's probably not a good idea. Stick with 87 oct. My experience with the tube was that it initially went from around 15.4 MPG to 14.4 MPG. However now it's climbed to 16.0 MPG. Took several weeks, so be patient for the computer to re-set. I seriously doubt the Airaid tube had anything at all to do with the powersteering hose.

 

your driving characteristics im sure have changes since you installed the intake. drive like you have an egg under your shoe and see how it does.

 

Thanks for the info. The powersteering hose blow @ 60 miles on the odom. . No clamp on the the hose under the front of the engine.
