MotorVac in TX?

Have heard Motor Vac is good. What garages/chains are offering this service in Texas? I'm in Lubbock, but get around the state pretty often. Anyone else in TX know of a Motorvac place and what they charge?

Where are you located in TX? I live in a town not too far outside Houston. And the local shop knows Fords inside & out! Plus they've got the Motorvac. I have mine done once a year. $93 bucks a shot, but I would rather spend that once a year, than have all of the problems with this efi thing carboning & sludging up.

Dayton Texas. I'll give you their phone number. You'll have to email me, I don't want to put it up on here though.

There is a place here in Baytown that does the Bilstien engine flush. I think that it is between $75-$80. I am about thirty miles east of Houston on I-10. Hope this helps. -- Martin

Hey Hotrod88, i have been thinking about this for several months. Can you tell a difference in the way the truck runs, milage etc. My 1996 has 68k and I want to keep it running a long time.

I can definitely tell a difference in the way it runs. After cleaning, it runs like a spotted mule. As compared to a three toed sloth, before. Any rough idle is gone, hesitation is gone, fuel mileage picks up (a little bit on mine mainly because after the engine is cleaned I can't keep my foot out of that throttle body!)

But you will notice a difference, I trust the shop here in Dayton. Mainly because the manager was a Ford service tech for 15 years. He took one look at my truck when I had the six cylinder in it, and said it needed to be cleaned out. Sure nuff, once that baby was cleaned it purred like a mountain lion!
