AOD won't shift

I had to replace the rear main seal on a 89 f150 with the 302. The tranny ran fine before I took it out but now it won't shift. I changed the fluid and filter on the tranny and still no luck. It goes into gear just fine but will just stay in 1st gear no matter what speed I am at. Is there a speed sensor on the AOD or is it strictly ran by the governor and TV pressure? Any suggestions would be great.

AOD is strictly ran off of the governor and TV pressure. Check the tv linkage/cable and see if it's loose, or broken. If it's not hooked up, it'll do reall stupid stuff.
