SVT Sport Trac Adrenalin Concept

What do ya'll think?

Should be pretty sweet, as well as functional compared to most other High performance trucks out there.

I couldn't agree with subliminaldanger more

Personally, the Sport Tracs have always been ugly.

I really like it. They claim it will be lighter than previous Lightnings, AWD, seat 5 and tow up to 6000 lbs. From what I've been reading, SVT is going to have some nice surprises over the next couple years.

I read today at www.detnews.com that in '06 there will be a 450 HP Shelby GT 500 Mustang and SVT would also follow the GT 500 with the sport Trac Adrenalin also in '06.

I hate to rain on the parade, but IMO, this is the very last thing Ford should be blowing valuable R+D dollars on!

Like the look, lose the IRS and the double cab, and make it into a Ranger replacement.

I don't know. It seems that they have started to get back on the right track financially. They have already released a new wave of mainstream vehicles, and another, the Fusion, which IMO will be a very good seller, will be on the market soon. The Sport Trac is going to be redesigned with IRS based off of the Explorer, so it would be silly to re-engineer it for a solid axle. Now they need to provide some excitement to the lineup, to help get people into the showrooms. The Sport Trac is going to be redesigned with IRS based off of the Explorer, so it would be silly to re-engineer it for a solid axle. They are using a carryover motor from the previous Cobra, so it's not like they're developing a whole new powerplant. The 6-spd is already in use in the '05 Navigator, so the main development costs it going to be in the suspension tuning and different body panels and interior features. I would love to see what kinda times this thing could run being AWD. Should be able to get a great launch.

It's got a lot of potential....quite a bit more than a Gen II Lightning depending on how the drivetrain holds up. Running the Terminator mill is an awsome idea...pulley, exhaust, chip....dayyyyum.
