Bent pushrods ?

Fellow got a chance to look at my truck and seems # 3 cylinder has 2 bent pushrods and 1 lifter that cam out of the bore.Caused the poor idle and diesel in the oil I posted a couple of weeks back. What causes pushrods to bend in these motors? Thanks for any input.

First thing that comes to my mind is over reving it. You also could have had a lifter stick in its bore, thus hitting the piston, and when the piston hit it, it would have bent the rod. also a sticky value guide, possible wet stacked, that could have caused excess load on the push rod and bent it. hopefully barebackjack will chime in, he just fixed his motor. had the same problem.

I think wet stacking is caused when a diesel is left to idle a big part of the time and there becomes a build up of unburned oil and diesel fuel on the valves causing them not to seat properly and thus can cause severe engine damage, someone can correct me if iam wrong.
