GEM module? 97-150
This is about a '97 F-150 ExtCab Lariat, 2-wheel drive, 5.4 V-8.
I may not have the corect name for the part. My 'lights on' buzzer and 'keys in ignition' buzzer and the driver's door dome light have all quit working. A "buddy" says I need a new gem module. He thinks it is somewhere under the dash. Can anyone tell me the official name of the part and where it is located? Many thanks and I wish I had tons of knowledge to share with others but I'm a almost raw rookie.
Many thanks,
RB

Hi and welcome to the forum
The GEM (Generic Electronic Module) is attached to the back of the under dash fuse box.
The GEM controls the following features:
Wipers/washers (front/rear).
Warning chimes.
Battery saver.
Illuminated entry and courtesy lamps.
Driver power window.
Accessory delay.
4-Wheel drive.
If you snoop around in here you'll find quite a few posts about GEM problems and how to replace it.
