96PSD Turbo Question

The linkage under the turbo seems to have oily dirt caked on it, is this a common problem? Will it cause a problem, and how hard are they to fix.
Thanks again for all your support

I would clean it up real good and see if you can pin point the leak. The rod goes into the turbo pedestal and is oil actuated(operates your ebpv). And it is a common leak point. If you find out that its your problem, then you gotta decide if you want to keep the ebpv operating or just disable it.

exhaust backpressure valve, it closes when the truck is cold to help it warm up faster, you will hear it close on a cold morning when you let up on the accelorator pedal, i disconnected mine, its annoying

Every single one of them either are, or will eventually leak. As long as it stays just seeping out and not pooling under the turbo it's really nothing to worry about.
