PCV / MAP Sensor Location

PCV / MAP Sensor Location
I hav echanged my PCV Valve, and there are two vacume hoses on it, one large one that connects to the Throttle Body, and the other is a smaller Vacuum hose that was disconnected from whatever it was supposed to be on. I have asked a mechanic frined and he says there is a MAP Sensor that is supposed to connect to the hose, but I cannoit locate this sensor in my Van. Does the smaller of the PCV Valve hoses connect to that?

The other end of that hose is supposed to connect to the canister purge solenoid, which is usually loose and around the intake manifold at the front of the engine close to the thermostat housing, As for the MAP sensor it is located Right on the firewall (underneath the windshield) on the left side of the brake master cylinder, it looks like a black plastic rectangle with a wire harness and a vacuum hose connected to it.

Some of the PCV has two ports (3.0L). The bigger one connects to the Throttle Body. The small one connects to the Canister Purge Solenoid Valve.
Some PVC has one port (4.0L) which connects only to the throttle body. You can remove the plastic part on top of the PCV and connect the rubber hose directly to the PCV. On those system, the canister purge solenoid valve is connected to the vacuum manifold in the rear of the throttle body.
At least, that's what I have on my cars.

My aftermarket PCV valve I bought for my 3.0L 96 Aero came with two elbows and my engine only untilizes one vacum hose that goes to the intake manifold.
I simply matched up the two elbows which were included with new valve to my original valve and simply pushed the elbow onto the valve.
Then to install it I simply connected the vacum hose into the valve elbow and pushed the valve itself into its grommet on the valve cover.
