Cold start fast idle

Are 96 PSD's supposed to kick the idle up like the newer PSD's when they are started up in cold weather? I have owned this truck for 3 years and it has never went to fast idle when cold.

no, the 95-97 models do not automatically idle up like the newer superduties. They may jump up in idle right after cold weather start up but they will not idle faster.
