Question 05 XLT 4x4 SCAB LEVEL AND TIRES

I want to level my truck with a Rev Tek 2" kit. I want to keep same stock 17" wheels (I don't want to spend a ton of money). My stock tires are 255/70/17 General American AC TR's with 800 miles on them, where and for how much could I sell them for? I want to upgrade to a minimum of 33's, or is 285/70/17 the biggest I can go. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Ask your tire dealer, he might give you a credit for your stock tires. 285/70/17 is pretty much a 33" tire. Nitto makes a 295/70/17 that I plan to use. I wouldn't go 35" without at least 4.10 gears. Of course, all IMO.
