Difference between a Dana 60 and 70

Difference between a Dana 60 and 70

I have a F350 Camper special 4wd. How can I tell the difference between Dana 60 and 70 rearends.

The Dana70 is bigger. Look at the housing on one of the sides, it should say either 60 or 70 stamped right on it. If your truck is a one ton then most likely it is a Dana70.



The one close and more rusty is a Dana70, the far one is a 60. Notice the bigger pumpkin and axle tubes on the 70.
