door handles

Has anyone painted their dor handles ? I just miss the smooth look of the EB expedition that I had , thus want ot replace the handels or paint them to color match them. Has anyone tried this, or can you buy them online ??

as i am sure you have seen they have the chrome caps that go over them....i am thinkin it will be hard to get paint to stick to that plastic good enough to hold up the the everyday contact and weather. I would definanlty let a body shop handle the paint work. just my opinion

Had my mirrors, door handles, and tailgate handle painted as after market-bumpers came painted with the truck. The vendor suggested being careful with rings when opening the doors, otherwise, nothing else to worry about. I like the look; you can check out the gallery, although I only have one picture in there so far.

BigRed, that looks really nice...mind if I ask how much it cost to get them painted ??? I got four of them.... was it hard to take them out as well ??

I saw pictures of ones that were painted, they look decent.

hawk3254, the cost was around $700 for mirrors and handles. I didn't get a breakdown of costs for just the handles. Also, I sent the truck in, so I didn't pull anything off myself.

Had a buddy paint everything for me. Total cost was $150. I think he just charged for materials.
