Warranty Change by Ford on F-150s
Well, THIS is interesting. Ford has notified us dealers that the tire warranty on 2004-2005 F-150s (excluding Heritage models) has been changed. It had been, as it is with all other Ford products, that your tires were guaranteed against "vibration, ride harshness and uneven or rapid wear" for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Now, your tires will be warranted against these defects for the entire term (36 months/ 36,000 miles) of the bumper-to-bumper warranty. I believe all applicable F-150 owners will be notified by Ford of the change.
I'll leave any speculation as to WHY this was done to any of my fellow F-150 owners.
