97 Powerstroke F250

I'm thinking about buying a 1997 F250 powerstroke extended cab long bed 4x4 automatic. The truck is in excellent shape and just has 100,000 miles on it. Does anyone know of any specific problems with this model or what I should be on the lookout for? Any suggestions / comments would be appreciated.
Also, does the C5 axle code mean 4.10 gears? I know C9 = 3.55 gears as in my old truck.
Thanks.

thats the same truck that i have... (look in gallery) so far... in the past 2 years i haven't had any major problems with it.... just some odds and ends.... also the twin i-beam front may need helper springs and new balljoints if their wornout... hope this helps some!!... also if it has auto hubs... (which it might) stick your hand under and manually spin the front driveshaft to make sure that both hubs lock... this way you know that 4wd is ok
