Hey,
I am looking into a 2008 ford f250 super duty 6.4 liter twin turbo powerstroke with the fx4 package with 26,750 miles. does anyone know of problems that plague this particular model of truck?
Do you happen to know the build date? Job 1 trucks have an issue with some injectors failing, this was solved in later builds. Some earlier builds had issues with the radiators leaking over time. They put a venturii(sp) tee on all builds to help with this as a recall.
Make sure it has all the recalls taken care of or will have all the recalls taken care of before taking possession. Mileage doesn't seem overly high, about average I'd say.
I would but the problem with giving it a once over in person before I make my decision is it is located over 1100 miles away. so if I decide to get it I will have to do this on the spot or it would be a wasted road trip. So I guess I'll just have the seller give me that information.

I am in the process of getting the truck, and I would like to get a tuner to increase the performance and mileage, any ideas?
there are, but I suggest that if you get the truck that you just drive it like it is for a bit. Learn the truck and its quirks, make sure all the maint. is up before you decide to do any upgrades.
There is spartan, banks, SCT and few others, so there are options for you to pursue once you are comfortable.
ya one of the reasons that I am willing to go that distance for this truck is because it is exactly what I am looking for, with only 26,000 miles on it. I also don't plan on getting any upgrades for awhile, I just barely persuaded my parents into letting me get the truck. I just want to do my research before I start putting money into it.
