i just got done replacing the clutch in my 1985 F-150, straight 6, 300 , 2X4 and i am at the last step. i am trying to put the floor shifter back in so that i can change gears and i guess when i pulled it out the tranny was still in 1st. now i can not get the shifter back in to where is is suposed to go. the truck is stuck in gear and i can not shift it into neutral or any other gear. i need help or tips on how to get the shifter back in the shifter housing in th right place so i can change gears. please help. thank you

thanks alot for looking but i got it in there about 20 min after i posted the topic. dont know what i did but it worked.
