Leather Seat Problems
I have had a similar problem with an 02 Lariat when it was just two months old. I took it back to the dealer, they agreed to replace the leather seat bottom. When the new one came in, they said it was unsatisfactory. They then ordered a new cushion and new leather seat upholstery. That replacement has been on ever since and still looks good to this day.

My original seat bottom started to come unstitched. The dealer agreed to fix it. They did. The guy that took the seat out to fix it did'nt pay any attention to the door resting open against something. The door edge had paint gone. Then when the seat had to go back in
he missed, and scraped up the back door with the seat mount. The cover needs replacement again. When it was first installed it had a small scrape in the finish. Now the scrape is turning into a sizeable path of bare leather. I can only wonder how much body work will be required next time.

04 Leather problems
Yes I am have leather problems too. At 8000 miles took it in for unusual wearing on drivers seat bottom and seat back. The area rep will be in next week to determine what course of action they will take. I want seat skins replaced, we will see.
I think Ford has cut corners on the quality of the leather used in the Lariat seats. The so called tan color (more like light beige) is a magnet for any kind of dirt, it will pull the blue right out of you blue jeans...$36K should have used better leather!
I have too clean the front seats a MINIMUM of twice a week to keep them looking good.

Leather cleaning
I use Prestine Clean and Rejuvinator Oil from Leatherique. Web Site is
www.leatherique.org. I have been using these products on my vehicles (00 Honda Accord EX and 95 Mazda Miata) leather interiors since 2000 and I have found nothing better.

Where did the padding go??
I too am not very pleased that after 6000 kms the bottoms of both frt buckets are almost flat and leather loose. It's not that I'm overweight (6"1", 195lbs). I will be bringing this and numerous other items about the truck to my dealer's attention after hunting season is over. So far I am not very impressed with the new F150.
