On both cars what are the posted 0-60 times/ 1/4 time/mph

you are in trouble. those grand ams are mid to low 16 second cars where an escort is MAYBE high 16s or probably 17s somewhere

 

I'm getting a Diablo sport chip and will be removing the spare tire/jack
WTF I was not just getting the chip for HP but becuase being an an auto equiped car I get better transmission feeling.
My car has this annouying habbit of "Lagging" between shifts not slipping though it feels like a manual driver momentarly letting off the gas to push the clutch in it just pauses when accelorating between gears it is a lot more noticable in the zX2 WHICH SHOULDhave a better performace transmission but it does not rev between gears it's just slower to change than other auto's i've driven
anyone else experience this?????/
will the diablo be a really nice improvement or hardly noticable???
PS I just did a passanger/ stopwatch 0-60 and got 8.1sec with no jack/spare and 1/4 of 93octane

The only chance I can see, is to pull a fast one and install a nitrous kit.

That Grand-Am Gt is packing a 3.1l V6 if you're lucky. If you're unlucky it's got a 3.4l v6 that's got an extra 30 ponies. Either one will waste an Escort.

so what I gotta do take one of my trucks and run her butt overs when she stops or take the 86 and run her over when she hits the speed limiter as my 86 "toyed" with an 03 reg cab auto 4.7 dodge and his limiter is 110MPH and I could pass him and slow down and wave as he went by and pass him again like he's standing still Probly 125mph+ None of you guy's believe me I don't think but my black 86 with a FI stang 302 AOD auto and a 3.55 open 8.8 makes for a petty quick combo sure the 4.10's ans a power trax are next then she'll be even qiucker I guess I'll revert to my redneck ways and use one of the trucks eather of which shoul getthe job done nicely
