Brand New 2004

Well I got my new F-150. It's a SCAB, short-box, Lariat, 4x4, red, black interior, loaded. I have been driving it 2 days, and I LOVE it so far. Just wanted to do an intro, and say how cool I think this board is!

Future Upgrades: chrome 24's, 305-55-24 toyo's, running boards, tinted windows including the front window, rain-x, 2 tone paint and bumpers to all red, 4.11 gears, borla cat-back, superchip, supercharger, twin turbo, NOS, headers, cold-air intake, built in radar/lazer detector, chrome billet grills, emblem removal, custom pinstriping, new hoodscoop type hood, kenwood navigation/dvd, kenwood monitors in the headrests, kenwood keg, XM, 2 2000 watt amps, 2 12" subs, speakers, built in wireless cell phone, IPOD adapter, in-motion direct-tv dish wired to the moniter, viper alarm system, remote start, CB with PA system to holla at the ladies, dyno-matting, spray in line-x bedliner, bed cover painted to match the truck, lower the rear end to make it level, air-ride suspension, embroydery in the seats, personlized plates, STP, premium fuel, octane booster, slick-50, synthetic oil, high gloss wax job.

Peace

Welcome to FTE UNLOADIT. That truck sounds real nice, and it appears to have a bright future under you ownership . If you get the chance, snap some pictures and create a gallery for everyone to check out. Hope to see you around the boards.

Wow. I guess it's fair to say that you will be the one and only King of the Mods on this board. Real interested in the dyno-matting and air ride suspension mods. Skip the Slick 50. Save a little.

You gonna drive this thing, or put it in your living room?

Sounds great, but I tend to haul lumber, sheetrock, and fishing gear in my FX4.
Great Truck! Enjoy!

Thanks boys. I might have got carried away a little. Very excited about the truck. I'm not rich, so my mods might be limited. I do plan on going with a chip, exaust, tinted windows, and new stereo for sure. It's fun to dream though!!

FYI....I don't think that 305/55/24s would fit. I have 305/35/24s Kumhos and there is ZERO extra room up front. In fact when backing up and the wheel turns to full lock my 35s touch the back of the inner fender. The 305/35/24s are just under 32.5in tall...the 305/55/24s would be 37.2 in tall. Come to think of it I haven't ever seen or heard of set of 305/55/24s....just 305/35s and 315/35s. If there are 305/55s out there they have to be for H2s because they wouldnt fit anything else and the 315/35s are too small for them.

Here is a pic of mine with the 305/35s.

Question

Screw-24's..

Thanks for the info. I might have to back down to a 22 then. I just don't like the look of a low profile tire on a 4x4...not to mention the ride. I like the look of the BFG all terain's, but the biggest I have seen is 20's. I hope they come out with some 22's. Do you know if I can get a 305-55-22, and if it would fit?

Thanks,

A 305/55/22 would still be 35.2 in tall. Way to tall for a stock truck. Very close if you do a front leveling kit though. I would really consider the 20s if I were you...they are way cheaper and the tire selection is a lot better. I have right at $5K in my 24s.....22s will run you about $2,500 and you should be able to get a set of 20s well under $2K if you shop around.

Thanks man. I would like to go with the 22's. Do you know what tire size I would need to with the 22 to make it a little taller than the stock 18's, yet still fit. I guess what I am looking for is as big of a side wall I can get with a 22 and still have it fit. I am going to level the truck, but in the back not the front.

Thanks in advance
