91 Ranger won't start/fuel relay??
Brother has 91 ranger with 2.9. AFter extended driving, an hour or two it doesn't want to start. This morning went to go to work and It won't start at all. Earlier someone suggested that it was the fuel pump relay- which I can not find it's location. Any suggestion on what it could be? Where is the relay located? Thanks..

I have a simular problem on my 1995 ranger V6 4L. I have found the relay and it was in the engine compartment in the fuse box on the drivers side. There are 4 relays, one is to energize the PCM and one is to energize the fuel pump. According to the schematic the fuel pump rely gets its ground from the PCM but when I read the resistance I dont see a good ground and so the fuel pump relay does'nt engage. I feel this may mean the PCM is bad but hate to replace it if this is not the problem. Maybe someone could post a thought on this. As far as where the fuel pump relay is on the 91 I would look at the fuse box in the engine compartment on the drivers side. With the key turned on you sould hear the relay click when you pull it out.
