Leak in Fuel Tank

Leak in Fuel Tank
Just bought an 89 Bronco II and it appears to have a leak in the gas tank. It drips when the tank is filled. I found a new replacement tank on eBay that says it will replace a Hollander #1373. Is this the stock gas tank # for my Bronco II? The dimensions for the new tank are 29 1/4" x 24 5/8" x 13 7/8".
Any help would be appreciated as I am just filling the tank to 3/4 full to avoid the leak.
Thanks,

Thats very interesting... My Bronco II also had a leak in the gas tank - up on the top side and had to be replaced right after I bought it.
I ended up having a Ford dealership replace mine with an OEM tank and fuel pump, gauge sending unit assy. Spent about $500+ on that part of my repairs. Turned out the fuel pump assy cured another hesitation problem that was apparently due to low fuel pressure.
I can't help you with the dimensions or PN. But I do wish you good luck with it. At least I don't leak fuel all over my driveway anymore. And I have come to really enjoy this lil Bronco. Just hope she holds up for a few years after all the refurb work.

Leak in Fuel Tank
Very strange!! We have a leak in our '90 B2 gas tank, and we just found it. My husband had filled his tank to the rim and thought that was all it was, until he rinsed that metal thing under the tank off and the gas reappeared. We have an '85 B2 for parts, though, so we're just swapping tanks. That is interesting to know, though. I wonder what the problem is? Angel

Leak in Fuel Tank
It does seem that a lot of late model B2's have fuel tank leaks. I have talked to several other B2 owners and they also report fuel tank leaks at upper right side near the joint. This causes fuel to leak down on the exhaust pipe when theB2 is standing still.
