2004 off rd ?

I am new to the board and a new ford owner. My question is what have some of your experiances been in the mud, snow, rain and snowy roads, with factory tires. Also if anyone has use chains did that work out well. Thanks alot for the info.

I have the FX4 which I got last Novemeber. We had a couple of good stotms last winter and she worked just fine, I have the Goodyear 18inch LT's and most of the time I really did not need four wheel drive. We had a couple of 8 nch and a couple of 6 inche snow falls. The truck rode and handled great.

I got a new F-150 Lariat 4x4 four door...anyone know how it does in about 4 or 5 inches of mud or snow. or really rough terrain like a road that has trenches in the center and around of it that can swallow a Subaru
