Where I can find production infomation on 2003 Lightnings. I'd like to know how many Lightnings were made in 2003 and how many of these were painted black. Also, how do I find out when my Lightning was built and what it's manufacture order was in the overall production for 2003. BTW, I have a 2003 stock black Lightning with 13k miles.
As of 1999, all Lightings are built in Oakville, Ontario, Canada! (Ontario Truck Plant). The engines, were only built at Windsor Engine Plant, across the river from Detroit Mi. We made only 10,000 or so L's & plus 10.000 Harley's ( slightly less supercharged). As far as the amount of black trucks made, I'm not sure. Overall, 7500 or so trucks were made each year, for both trucks!!
Hope this helps
2000 Harley (Which is it! 13,000 Kilometers or miles?) 13,000km='s 26,000mil or so?
Sweet!! You have a good start to a Lighting Keeper!
Also, regarding when it was built. As I said both L's & Harley
s were built on the same line. The engines were also built together & you can
track the build of your engine from the cam cover sticker on the left side.
The bar code & model code on that sticker can tell you the start to finish build history if you have access to Ford production info.
