Incentives on 2004 trucks

What do you think will happen after august 31st with incentives on trucks. Will the customer cash be there or how about the ford motor company cash or what about the rebates? I want to buy now but can wait until after the 31st. Maybe some dealers have an idea. I am looking to buy a f250 crew cab 4x4.

Ford Motor Company does NOT give us dealers any kind of "head's up" when it comes to rebate changes. Just suppose they did tell us that the F-150 rebate was going to $5,000 on Setember 1st. Let's see, what would happen to the sales of F-150s for the rest of August, hmmmm........................yeah, you got it. Ford wouldn't sell another F-150 for the rest of the month, as everyone waited for the rebate to go up. Now, if every person in America didn't buy a new Ford for the next two weeks, then I can assure that rebates would then rise. Beyond that, I'm incapable of predicting the future, and that's exactly what you're asking me to do every time this question comes up. If a rebate is scheduled to end on one day, then I don't find out what the new program is until the following day. Unless Ford decides to end a program early, and yes, they can do that and I've seen them do it in the past.

I can tell you around here the F-250 crew cab 4x4's are getting pretty slim pickings. I called at-least 4 large Ford dealerships in my area and a couple have one or two, some do not have ANY. All of them have had to search for them to give me any to choose from.

Be careful waiting to long.

I know you are asking for Jeff's opinion rather than mine, but I don't see the rebates going up on the '04 SD. Gas engine SD's are already at $3k, and that is fairly recent that they did that. They stayed at $2500 for quite some time. Like 3404 said, they may be scarce by the time you ever see anymore cash offered on them. Do you buy the truck you want now or wait for, maybe $500 more, and find the truck you are looking at long gone?
