Thumbs up Got our van today

Well, I sold my Jeep, and was able to get us a van with a wheelchair lift today.
It's an 86 w/ a 302. It's going to need a little work (brakes, tires, a real good cleaning) but it runs great.
Went down to Portland, OR to pick it up. They brought it up from Salem.
Paid 1k for it.
I think that we got a pretty good deal.

Not sure about what's legal where you live, but if you plan on using that van like we do, get it to the local exhaust shop and have them put a 2.5" straigh pipe on it, from the back of the cat, to the stock outlet location. You will be pleasantly surprised at the difference in power.

The lift is a Ricon Clearway. The one that splits in the middle to give thru passage.
It is going to be going to the muffler shop soon, I can't hear it running.
They had to put in a new radiator before they brought it to Portland, the one that was in it was leaking around the neck. They tried to pass on the cost of a new rad to me, but I wouldn't let them. Also tried to tell me that it cost $270.oo, I didn't buy that for a minute.

Congrats on the van. Like Blue Mule said you got a smokin' deal. I was quoted 4 grand for a Braun lift. Enjoy.

Our remote door opener is not wireless.
There are keyed toggle switches in the passenger tailight, one for door, one for ramp, so it can be opened from the outside.
The other toggles are dash mounted, for inside operation.
The van also has the 6-way powerseat, on the drivers side.
I'm thinking of moving it over to the passenger side, to make things easier for Judy.

A FYI update

Made a call today to a lift installer up here in WA.
Just the Ricon Clearway (installed), without remote door controls, is $4290.
The remote doors (swing out) are $1495 installed.

Just about looks like blue angel with the same pop up top

it used to be a wheel chair van with the side lift but all that was took out before we got it now we use it for towing the boat and camping .

pfogle how much power did you you gain from that ? I have plans on running dual 2 inch exhaust with headers (off of a 5.0 stang if they will fit if not I`ll be using the stock manifolds) and a H pipe I know I won`t get alot of power from it with the stock carb, intake and cats to keep it leagal but it should be better on gas and with the van being so big every bit of power will help on them big long hills .
