My 77 F-100 was the last vehicle I owned that had it..... I miss that ole truck sometimes.... had it converted to propane.... probably still running....
i had that with my 91 f-150. i couldnt figure out how to turn the high beams on because i was used to the style next to the steering wheel. i think the old way is allot better. at least then i didnt turn my signal or wipers on everytime i tried to turn on my high beams.
I heard that they were going to stop putting the dimmer switch on the column because it was dangerous. Too many blonds got their foot caught in the steering wheel when they dimmed their lights.
AhhhHaaa Ok racerguy got my laugh in for the night! I agree I liked the floor switch much better. Beats the heck out of trying to fix a broken switch on the column. I have thought of trying a floor starter switch like my 49 F1 use to have. (should of never sold it). I doubt that too may people would know how to start the thing if it was hidden under carpet.
