I just bought a 1995 F-150 and the door lock on the driver's side does not work. I am not able to push it down manually or with the key. I am looking to just replace it but I am having a hard time finding one. Every website I go to when I do a search says they do not have one that fits my model. Is there a database that I can go to to look up which model years are compatible? I might have access to one from a 1991 Bronco but I don't know if it will work.

As a side note... I did take the latch out of the truck to see if I could loosen it up and I did not have any luck. I unloaded a bunch of WD-40 into it and that did not even help.

 

Does the key move in the lock cylinder and just do nothing, or does the key not turn at all? If it's the former, the linkage inside the door probably self destructed. In every 80s vehicle I've ever owned the bar that operated the lock was held in place with plastic.
